Welcome to Fur Liebe Rottweilers website.  Fur Liebe Rottweilers was officially established in November 2005, followed in May 2008 with Council Development Approval to establish kennels.  Fur Liebe Rottweilers is located in the rural setting of Wivenhoe, over looking Lake Wivenhoe in the picturesque 'Valley of the Lakes', Somerset.

 

Our chosen prefix Fur Liebe is German, the english translation meaning 'for love'.  For us, our prefix captures why we own, breed and our proud to be a champion for the Rottweiler... put simply... we love the breed! 

 

Our first introduction and involvement with the breed began in 2000 when we moved to Townsville for a 12 month work contract.  It just so happened that our office of all places was located next door to the Townsville Dog Squad.  At the point in time, the dog squad had a strong Rottweiler Breeding Program, through which we were invited to socalise with their young dogs.  This was a wonderful experience for us, as it was our first introduction to the breed and enabled us to experience first hand how the breed can play a valuable role within society.

 

Upon returning to Brisbane in 2001, our first Rottweiler joined our family 'Shadow' purchased from Bailamina Rottweilers.  In 2005 our second Rottweiler joined our family 'Maximus' purchased from Blakesims Rottweilers.  Both boys are our Fur Kids and have been actively involved in Confirmation Showing, Obedience Training and Agility.  Over the years we have had the pleasure of owning several other Rottweilers, purchased with the intention of Specialty Confirmation Showing and to form the foundation of our kennel breeding.  Unfortunately for various reasons these beautiful dogs have since be re-homed to pet homes.  In 2009 we were fortunate enough to purchase from Blakesims Rottweilers a beautiful female named 'Anya'.  To date, Anya has achieved much success in Specialty Confirmation Showing and we hope to breed with her in the coming year to establish our kennel foundation.  

 

We are members with the Dogs Queensland and Dogs New South Wales.
